The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.  It was established on 24 September,1969.

This year NSS celebrated it's golden anniversary.

The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service.

NSS organizes various camps and group activities which help in personality development through activities of community service.

To be a part of NSS,one has to enroll into the NSS unit of MMV through  the programme officer. The  programme officers of NSS in MMV are Dr Naaz Begum and Dr Reeta Jaiswal.
